What are “Parent Care Boxes”? – The Autism Parent Care Boxes are boxes filled with care items just for our parents who are caring for loved ones diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
One thing that is important is self-care. Even if it’s only for a few minutes out of the day to do something that is all about you. You can’t take care of someone else if you don’t care for yourself.
Your care box will include items that are reminders to take a moment where it’s all about you. Take in the pleasant scent of a candle, read a good book, drink water or have a cup of tea, relax in a nice warm tub of water, enjoy some relaxing music… the list goes on and on. Even if your only able to do one of those for 5 minutes out of your day… the Parent Care Box will be that reminder.
