Join us for Sweatpants and Mimosas II: An Autism Mom’s Celebration – an exclusive, annual event dedicated to celebrating YOU, the incredible autism moms of Metro Detroit!

Get ready to kick back, relax, and connect with other moms who truly understand the unique journey of raising a child with autism. This adults-only event promises a much-needed afternoon of self-care, connection, and community.

  • RSVP: $10 donation (Your contribution helps fund future community events for Autism And Us. Thank you for your support!)

Her work with the Empower Social Circle is a testament to the transformative power of sensory items on child developement.

Maya Carr - Educator And ABA therapist

 

Maya CarrMaya Carr has been an educator and ABA therapist for almost a decade. The work that she does can be gratifying, but also challenging. Self-Care is essential to ensure she can provide quality services and educational opportunities to her students and clients. Some of the Self-Care activities she does for wellness involve getting personal massages, utilixing a massage chair every week, and detoxing once a month. Riding the body of toxins from the environment pollutants and food is highly beneficial. Maya believes that one of the most important parts of self-cae is scheduling at least 30 minutes yourself that involves reflection and peaceful thoughts. Keeping a journal about important events and planning helps you stay on track.
